This new skin is smoother and fresher in appearance. Who is a candidate for laser resurfacing? Though laser resurfacing has been used on patients of all skin types, the patients that respond most easily are fair toned individuals with age and sun related changes. Patients with darker tones may need to undergo pretreatment with creams to turn off the production of melanin prior to starting treatment. Additionally, these individuals should consider a preoperative skin test to gauge healing. |
